Intouch Transformation SVP Joins HBA Panel on Women’s Leadership

group of women networking

In honor of this year’s International Women’s Day, the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) is hosting Choosing to Lead, an event focused on helping professional women advance their careers, despite the obstacles they face as they (attempt to) rise to leadership roles.

Paula Hackl, Intouch Group’s senior vice president of transformation, will join panelists from pharma and advertising in a discussion about navigating these challenges on the road to success. Since joining Intouch as vice president in 2018, Paula has played a critical role in the company’s operations — streamlining processes, identifying efficiencies, and ensuring that a client-centric approach remains at the forefront.

Last year at about this time, Forbes reminded its readers that women are a LONG way from where they need to be professionally … “Women currently make up about half of the total workforce (46.9%), yet only 40 percent of managerial roles.” The author went on to cite a report from the women-focused nonprofit Catalyst, which found that in 2019, white women held 32.3% of all management positions, yet percentages for women of color in management remained significantly lower:

  • Latinas: 4.3%
  • Black women: 4.0%
  • Asian women: 2.5%

Intouch is committed to creating an equitable workplace – in fact, we were recognized as the first-ever Diversity & Inclusion Champion by Med Ad News – so we’re particularly proud to partner with HBA to support this event.

The virtual panel will be held March 11, from 10-11:30 am CST. Register to celebrate the achievements of women and learn from the stories and experiences of female powerhouses in the industry. Choosing to Lead is open to members and non-members, so get your spot today!
