Embracing Diversity: Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month

AANHPI Heritage Month_05_2025

At EVERSANA INTOUCH, we believe that “Embracing Diversity” is more than a value, it’s a vibrant part of who we are. This May, we proudly celebrated Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, honoring the rich histories, cultures and contributions of AANHPI communities across the U.S. and within our agency network and EVERSANA. Our theme for this year’s AANHPI month was “Positive Pathways to Wellness: Promoting well-being through diverse AANHPI health practices.”

“For me, celebrating this year’s Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month with our theme ‘Positive Pathways to Wellness’ is a powerful reminder that true well-being is rooted in the balance of mind, body and spirit. It’s an opportunity to honor the diverse healing traditions passed down through generations as well as embrace modern practices. In doing so, we acknowledge the strength in our shared stories and commit to fostering a collective sense of wellness that uplifts and empowers our communities.”

–Jaii Phillips Beckley, SVP, Editorial Director, and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Professional Network Co-Chair

How We Celebrated Together

Our teams participated in a variety of activities to honor AANHPI voices and experiences:

  • Storytelling Spotlights: Through our Coffee Break Series, colleagues who identify as AANHPI shared personal stories highlighting their journeys, traditions and what this month means to them.
  • Origami Folding Class: Participants enjoyed a peaceful origami session, where they learned to craft delicate butterflies and flowers through the mindful art of paper folding. Beyond its beauty, origami serves as a powerful tool for promoting mindfulness, relieving stress and unlocking creativity, making it a meaningful practice for enhancing mental well-being.
  • Tea Tasting: Employees had the opportunity to participate in an interactive and educational tea tasting, exploring a variety of teas from different AANHPI cultures. From the bold spices of Indian Masala Chai and the delicate notes of Japanese White Tea and Cherry Blossom to the earthy essence of Hawaiian Mamaki, each tea offered a unique story.

“As I reflect on this year’s Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, I am inspired by our theme and the various pathways our culture takes towards wellness. As co-chair, I am proud of how our cultures have shared wellness practices with the world, such as yoga, dance, herbal tea and meditation. I look forward to celebrating these traditions with my EVERSANA family.”

A Culture of Belonging

Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month is part of our broader commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. When people feel seen, heard and valued, they thrive—and so does our work to serve patients and build a healthier world for all.

We continue to show pride in our employees by recognizing one another, honoring the stories that shape us and celebrating the diversity that strengthens us through various awareness months.
