At EVERSANA INTOUCH, we believe that culture is built not just in the workplace—but in the community. Recently, our Kansas City team took that belief to heart by spending an afternoon volunteering at Wayside Waifs, a local no-kill animal shelter that’s 100% donation-funded and deeply committed to animal welfare.

Our team rolled up their sleeves to help organize donations for the shelter’s pet food pantry. From sorting supplies to arranging items by expiration date, we worked to make it easier for the shelter staff to access and distribute food to pets in need. By the end of our shift, the Wayside team shared that we accomplished more in two hours than they typically could in a week—they were incredibly grateful!

As a special thank-you, the team was treated to puppy playtime, which brought smiles all around—and the temptation to bring home a new furry family member.
The event was coordinated by Leah Sandburg, Sr Account Manager, who volunteers weekly at the shelter. She worked with Wayside’s corporate outreach team to make this special afternoon happen. Leah shared:
“Our team has a passion for not only supporting each other at work but also supporting our furry family members too. We all jumped at the idea of taking time out of our busy days to volunteer at the shelter. Definitely a great way to spend the afternoon giving back as a team!”
