Intouch and Heart to Heart International Team Up Against COVID-19

Last fall, nearly 1,000 Intouchers gathered in Kansas City to celebrate 20 years of business, and while we were together, we took time to participate in philanthropic activities. One of those activities was creating hygiene kits for the Ronald McDonald House and Heart to Heart International (HHI), some of which were delivered to physicians at KU Medical Center who are working tirelessly to treat people affected by the coronavirus in the Kansas City area. Now, we’re going a step further by donating more than $100,000 to HHI programs focused on preventing the spread of COVID-19, including infection prevention and control training for nonprofit organizations.

In addition to supporting the training program, Intouch employees have an opportunity to sponsor HHI’s “Stay Healthy” kits — which include critical infection prevention and control items such as cloth face coverings, hand sanitizing wipes, and gloves — and have those kits “matched” by Intouch. The kits will be distributed to people in need through homeless shelters, food pantries, and other community assistance groups across the country.
